For years I carried the labels of depression, anxiety, anger, self-hate, and hopelessness like boulders on my shoulders, holding me down as I dragged my feet through the day to day. Smoking weed to escape reality and constantly hiding from my own reflection so I wouldn’t have to see me. God had such big plans for me but all I could see were my troubles and fears. One day I decided to get up-I made the realization that I was worth it: that my life was worth it, my dreams were worth it and I owed my Current Self and My Future Self the world.

There is a Light that lies within you-within all of us-and it’s that little voice in your head that kept you from ending your life or that whispers “that’s not true” when all of the mean internal voices began suffocating you with their lies. The Light within you is ready to guide you and take you to all the places you know God has in store for you but your Current Self can’t fathom just yet.
